Under the Islamic Apostasy Laws a muslim converting to a another religion can be put to death, because it is deemed an insult to the Prophet and, as you said muslims may convert people of other religion but, the other religion cannot convert muslims. The Pakistani blasphemey law does a good job defining this!

well its still growing today Alhamdulillah. Its the fastest growing religion in U.S and many other countries. Nobody puts a sword to anyones head here… while others are on a decline. The bad publicity done by jews and hindus comes back to haunt them cos they endup making Islam more mysterious to the minds of general public. So keep up the good work logic.

The growth of muslims in US is also a direct result of increase in muslim immigration and, also the rabbit-like birth-rate. Although, Americans have always been fascinated by eastern religions; yesterday, it was hare krishna, today it is Islam.
Consider this:
The new converts are preached:
"that Islam stands for equality and compassion; women and nonmuslims are equal and there is no such thing as compulsion in religion."
Can you or, any of your cohorts prove that what is being preached to new converts is reflected in today's Islam ? Ahl as Sunnah Jamaat or Wahabiya.
