I finally got around to listening to Hadiqa’s new CD. I was pleasantly surprised. The first half of the CD is surprisingly fantastic. The second half is the same western wannabe crap from her first CD.
What are your thoughts?
I liked the second half a bit more - she tried to veer back to Urdu for one thing, and well, I'm tired of dhol beats.
I think her first CD really turned me off of her attempts to do good western style music. I can't listen to the second half ... no matter how hard I try. I end up skipping them. :D
i'm not much of a hadiqA fan but i think jogi is a good track.
And the new video they r showing on prime nowadays. It's pretty good.
Yeah, that's one of the good tunes on the CD. I guess I just like dhol beats. :p

Nazia was much better than hadiqa, atleast we could recognise nazia's sureeli awaz....unlike hadiqa's deep voice and not shouting like she does in dupatta!

Hmmm, I thought her "Rung" CD (which is what I'm talking about) was new.
new as in - its the most recent album of hers. But it was released quite a while ago.
