Whether or not she did it for attention really should not be a matter of concern. The child will have a chance at a life with someone to love him and the opportunity to receive and experince things which he might not have had otherwise. Better than ramining destitute at an orphanage.

Its such a noble thing to do...I really commend people who adopt......there can be so much love to spread around...if only more people think about adopting rather then try to make itsound like its such a taboo thing to do...so insensitive.....May Allah keep them Happy

yup! ppl should adopt there are so many orphans int he world and there are many muslim orphans in the world 2! support them. i cant adopt yet but if i could i would:)

i wasnt speaking from the child's perspective....but from the perspective of whether hadiqa had an intention of doing a good deed or not.
regardless, being adopted by a celebrity versus staying back at an orphanage with the option of being adopted by an ordinary family cannot be compared and we cannot make any claims regarding which will in the long term be beneficial for the child. Its debatable what the childs life would have been like had she not adopted him.
On another note many celebrities are involved in shady businesses...this has nothing to do with hadiqa but many esptablished actresses/singers are involved in supplying women and in the pimping biz.
Anyways this is not to submit any judgement on her apparently noble act ofcourse.... but i hope (being a celebrity) she does understand the care and attention a kid needs and did not just hop on the celeb adoption bandwagon (aka angelina jolie, sushmita sen...) thats all.
and that baby looks like an angel!
