^ barring commercial productions, I've found Indian parallel cinema (arthouse) to be somewhat intellectually stimulating. I'm an ardent fan of Gulzar, Ray, and Benegal.
DDLJ though? seriously? wouldn't warrant a academic etymology in my opinion, although it's a half-decent commercial movie.
