for the red marks on face…howrver she did say not to peel the peeling that will occur for a few days after, i forgot this piece of impo infomation and peeled some of my alreayd flaky peelings on face, it was coming off anyway, i peeled if off rahter than letting it come off naturally.
im now worried i may have messd it up.Gina did say it may make the redness stay longer or something…
That's the most important thing. You shouldn't peel off the skin and let it occur naturally or you might get scaring. I have done chemicals peels at home but never really touched the peeling. When did you peel it off yourself? Was it like the 5th or 6th day? If you are getting bothered by the flaking ..what you can do is take a warm cloth ..like a towel..and rub it on gently on the skin. NOT harshly and it will take off some of the dead skin..but usually do this after the peeling is pretty much finish and all you see is dead skin on your skin. If you think something serious is going on with your skin...contact the person who did the Mandelic chemical peel for you or your dermatologist
hehehehe, excuse me I AM......however in order for me to look my best, i thought why not try one of these......its meant to make you look fresher and brighter, and with all my exam stress skin had taken a battering...:{
oh nooooooooooooooo. not the home kit.....you maddddddddddddd
no this was a gentle one, not as harsh as it sounds....and it didnt effect me at all no pain nothing, just cos i have sensitive skin it was red for few days but i messed up the peeling, i shuda let it heal itself, i never listen...i always do the opposite of what they say...:{
Never ever ever touch the peeling...I know it looks horrendous and its annoying walking around with flakey skin that looks like its shedding. Ive had peels done and the trick is...let the peel work on its own and dont touch.
Look at the area you peeled off...did it reveal pinkish or raw skin? You may scar if that is the case. If you simply brushed off skin that was peeling then its a different story.
If you scar...neosporin helps a lot if you start applying it right away and regularly.
Nadz, the first rule of getting any peel done is never to pick at the peeling skin.. or step-out without a sunblock. The cells are regenerating and this causes flakiness.. when u pick at it the skin is raw and prone to infections and damage.
Now that u already have picked at it.. keep u're face free from all products with alcohol/menthol.. just use sunblock.. and if the peeled area is very raw and red use a topical ointment "bactroban"
ok well its soreish where i have a spot...but its the spot not the skin...i havent peeled the layer of my actual skin off, its red where the red marks are, otherwise i dont think i can see any pink flesh underneath....hope this makes sense.

This is very true!
what di yiou guys mean by raw or sore....

The spot you're talking about...is it the red mark you were trying to get rid of? If that is sore...its good...peel is working. If its a spot that wasnt there before and now has appeared after you touched it...you might have peeled some skin off. Dont touch it again. Like Gina says...put a topical ointment on it...we have neosporin here in the US...you guys might have something different over there.

I think Ive had 4 of them so far...didnt need anymore. What I can say is that the 3rd and 4th might help lighten the damage. I peeled a bit of skin off after my first one and by the 4th one...the scar was gone.
But you have to stop touching your face now. Like Gina says...sunscreen is key!
