Irem,
Most people think that once they received their degree (earned or otherwise) that that's it. Learning goes on forever and there are so many experiences available in life that one should not stick to one thing. I've personally have 5 careers, all different kinds (from professional photography to CPA). And for me "career" would be an ever-evolving thing. Currently a network manager, I've been thinking of getting into medicine too (my wife is in that field).

My problem is house-hold responsibilities, financial and otherwise. So I can't take pay-cuts. You, on the other hand, do not suffer from that. Allah ka naam lo aur ghus jaao. What's the worse that can happen? You'd get bored, loose interest, get kicked out, etc etc? So you go back to what ur currently doing. What did u loose? Nothing.

Plus, (at the cost of sounding like a bigot) you are a female in the desi culture. Even if you weren't doing anything you'd still be cared for, get married etc. If you can't go and do what your heart desires, I don't know who can. Consider this a vacation from ur current life.
