** Dear fellow GUPPIES, Friends and Patriotic PAKISTANIS!**
Every year in the month of **AUGUST **we are charged with a fresh wave of patriotism and devotion to our motherland. The spirit of dedication, sacrifice, harmony and prosperity as a nation leads us to celebrating our beloved motherland’s birthday with immense pride, joy, patriotism and festivities each August.
We celebrate all national days and events with exemplary patriotism while the month of August each year, leading to the most important date of our nation’s history on the 14th of AUGUST; the date marking the birth of our beloved nation, the birth of our INDEPENDENCE, the birth of our FREEDOM, the birth of our IDENTITY, creates in us a spirit of celebration and festivity driven by die-hard LOVE; love for our homeland PAKISTAN, love for Pakistan’s prosperity, love for our freedom, love for our independence, love for harmony.
As August awakens within us the spirit of patriotism, the importance of sacrifice, the burden and sense of responsibility, the spirit of brotherhood, co-existence, peace, harmony, tolerance, Unity, Faith & Discipline, in coming together under the Green & White Crescent & Star banner that we call the National Flag of our beloved **PAKISTAN **to celebrate our independence, **freedom **and the day marking the **birth **of our identity, our motherland, our nation Pakistan, we must look forward to **perpetuating **this bond for the rest of the 11 months before next August and then years, decades, centuries, millenniums to come. Only then shall we be regarded, remembered and respected as a great nation that we truly are. The great nation that we deserve to be. The great nation that our founders believed us to be. The great nation that the father of the nation envisioned us to be.
This August lets celebrate Independence and Freedom by reflecting upon various aspects of the journey that brought us the gift of Pakistan, and the journey we as a nation have been on ever since. This August lets reflect, ponder and try to reason how on the mark or off the mark we have been as per the vision and** ideology** of our founding fathers and try to ascertain where our responsibilities, mistakes and errors lie. As individuals and then as a nation.
This August keeping in view the sense of despair, hopelessness, turbulence, unrest and uncertainty that our nation and therefore we all have been suffering for the past many months, let’s initiate the festivities and celebrations and mark our 61st Independence; the birthday that must mark coming of maturity and seasoning of many summers and winters within any existence, with an initiative that shall not end in August, but only begin!
