It was not Zia, it was Sikendar Mirza who started this all and he was able to do that because even then politicians ( apart of few) didn’t have balls, the parliament was weak and full of opportunist like Bhutto, believe it or not, Bhutto was ball-licker of Sikander mirza and when Ayoub Took over, big number of politicians ( including bhutto) supported him against Muhterma Fatima Jinnah… later the same politicians joined the cabinet and enjoyed every bit of it and like any Ibn-ul-waqt, they left Ayoub and went against him… joined yehya and result was 1971, whatever Zia did in 1978 was action replay of 1957/8… only this time NS was produced out of it… and now we have these politicians who claims have all the balls but in the wrong place…
As far as generals are concerned, any general who have violated constitution and took-over the govt. should be condemned but hiding behind their sin and oneself innocent won’t work either…remember, Generals cannot rule single day, if they don’t get the support from the politicians…
