Sahih Muslim Hadith 7061 Narrated by Abdullah ibn ash-Shikhkhir
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘The son of Adam claims: ‘My wealth! My wealth!..... O son of Adam, is there anything as your belonging except that which you consumed, which you utilized, or which you wore and then it was worn out, or that which you gave as charity and sent it forward (for the life Hereafter)?’
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):
“A man said to the Prophet, ‘Give me advice.’ The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, ‘Do not get angry.’ The man asked repeatedly and the Prophet answered each time, ‘Do not get angry.’”
"Pride and arrogance are prone to be found in those who own camels and horses, while meekness and humility characterize those who tend sheep and goats."
"A person who associates with a pious man is like one who sits with a musk-seller. Even if he does not receive any musk from the latter still the pleasant smell would be a source of pleasure to him. But bad company may be likened to a furnace; a man sitting near one cannot escape the smoke and the fumes, even if a spark does not fall on him."
It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah, the wife of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily Allah loves kindness in all things.”
"Shall I tell you something that is the best of all deeds, constitutes the best act of piety in the eyes of your Lord, elevates your rank in the hereafter, and carries more virtue than the spending of gold and silver in the service of Allah, or taking part in jihad and slaying or being slain in the path of Allah?"
They said: "Yes!"
He said: "Remembrance of Allah."
Related on the authority of Abu al-Darda' by Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah.
"There are two impulses in the soul, one from an angel which calls towards good and confirms truth; whoever finds this let him know it is from ALLAH and praise Him. Another impulse comes from the enemy which leads to doubt and denies truth and forbids good; whoever finds this, let him seek refuge in ALLAH from the accursed devil." Then he recited the verse: "The devil shows you fear of poverty and enjoins evil upon you" (2:268)
Narrated Abu Huraira(RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, "No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the 'Isha' prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the masjid) even if they had to crawl." Bukhari (Book #11, Hadith #626)
*The Messenger of Allaah (pbuh) said: “When Allaah wills good for His slave, He sweetens him.” He was asked, “What is this sweetening?” He said, “Allaah guides him to do righteous deeds before he dies, then He takes (his soul) whilst he is in that state.” *
(Narrated by Ahmad, 17330; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 1114.)
Narrated Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): We were with the Prophet (peace be upon him) while we were young and had no wealth. So Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “O young people! Whoever among you is able to marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting will diminish his sexual power.”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari, Book of An-Nikah, Hadith: 5066]
**Abu Huraira Radi allaho anho reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do you know who is poor? They (the Companions of the Holy Prophet) said: A poor man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The poor of my Umma would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrecton with prayers and fasts and Zakat but since he hurled abuses upon others, brought calumny against others and unlawfully consumed the wealth of others and shed the blood of others and beat others, and his virtues would be credited to the account of one (who suffered at his hand). And if his good deeds fall short to clear the account, then his sins would be entered in (his account) and he would be thrown in the Hell-Fire.
**Sahih Muslim Book 032, Number 6251:
may we be not among them and may Allah save us from hell fire Ameen
Abu Dhar al-Ghafari said: "The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wassallam) said: Sadaqah is prescribed for every person every day the sun rises'
I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, from what do we give sadaqah if we do not possess property?'
He said: 'The doors of sadaqah are takbir (Allahu Akbar), Subhan'Allah, Alhumdulillah, La-ilaha-ilAllah, Astaghfirullah, enjoining good, forbidding evil, removing thorns, bones, and stones from the paths of people, guiding the blind, listening to the deaf and dumb until you understand, guiding a person to his object of need if you know where it is, hurrying with the strength of your legs to the one in sorrow who is appealing for help, and supporting the weak with the strength of your arms. These are all the doors of sadaqah." [Ahmad]
