Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Messenger (peace be u n him) said:
*It would be said to the non-believers on the Day of Resurrection: If you were to possess gold, filling the whole earth, would you like to secure your freedom by paying that? He would say: Yes. Thereupon it would be said to him: Something easier (than this) was demanded from you (but you paid no heed to it)

The Prophet said, "Medina is a sanctuary from that place to that. Its trees should not be cut and no heresy should be innovated nor any sin should be committed in it, and whoever innovates in it an heresy or commits sins (bad deeds), then he will incur the curse of Allah, the angels, and all the people." (See Hadith No. 409, Vol 9).
Ibne Abbas Radhiallaho anho has quoted Muhammad Sallallaho alaihe wasallam to have said that Sadaqah does not decrease one’s wealth; when a person extends his hand to give Sadaqah, it passes into the sacred hand of Allah Ta’ala before that of the beggar, which means Divine acceptance of his Sadaqah.
And whoever begs without the actual need for it, Allah Ta’ala opens for him the gate to poverty. (Targhib). Qais Ibne Selaa Ansaari Radhiallaho anho says that, when his brothers complained to Muhammad Sallallaho alaihe wasallam that he was extravagant and spent money unnecessarily, Qais Ansaari said that he took his own share from the garden and spent it as Sadaqah or used it for providing food to his visitors. Rasulullah Sallallaho alaihe wasallam patted his chest and said, "Go on spending", repeating the words three times, Allah Ta’ala will spend on you". Qais Ansaari Radhiallaho anho further said that after some time, when he went on Jehaad, he had his own riding beast and possessed more money than all his relatives. That is, in spite of his liberal spending, he had far more money than those who were too careful to spend liberally.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "O Allah, grant me life as a poor man, cause me to die as a poor man and resurrect me in the company of the poor.."
His wife asked him why he said that, and he replied:
**"Because (the poor) will enter Paradise (before) the rich. Do not turn away a poor man...even if all you can give is half a date. If you love the poor and bring them near you..Allah will bring you near Him on the Day of Ressurrection."
'Abdullah b. Amr b. al-As reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying : When you hear the Mu'adhdhin, repeat what he says, then invoke a blessing on me, for everyone who invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings from Allah; then beg from Allah al-Wasila for me, which is a rank in Paradise fitting for only one of Allah's servants, and I hope that I may be that one.If anyone who asks that I be given the Wasila, he will be assured of my intercession.
Abdur Rahman Ibne Auf (r.a) says that Rasulullah (saw) said, **"I swear by Allah, Who has control on my life, to three things:
one, Sadaqah does not reduce your wealth, so give much;
second, when a person becomes victim of an outrage and he forgives the oppressor, Allah Ta’ala will exalt his honour on the Day of Judgement;
third, when a person takes to begging, Allah Ta’ala will open for him the gate to poverty**".
Abu Salmah Radhiallaho also reported from the Prophet (saw) , "Sadaqah does not reduce wealth, so do give Sadaqah". ‘Sadaqah does not reduce wealth’ obviously means that the return for it promptly comes from Allah Ta’ala.
Once the Prophet came while a woman was sitting with me. He said, "Who is she?"
I replied, "She is so and so," and told him about her (excessive) praying.
He said disapprovingly, "Do (good) deeds which is within your capacity (without being overtaxed) as Allah does not get tired (of giving rewards) but (surely) you will get tired and the best deed (act of Worship) in the sight of Allah is that which is done regularly."
A tumbler (full of milk or water) was brought to the Prophet who drank from it, while on his right side there was sitting a boy who was the youngest of those who were present and on his left side there were old men. The Prophet asked, "O boy, will you allow me to give it (i.e. the rest of the drink) to the old men?" The boy said, "O Allah's Apostle! I will not give preference to anyone over me to drink the rest of it from which you have drunk." So, the Prophet gave it to him.

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him)
The Prophet of Allah (may Allah exalt his mention) said, The People most loved by me from amongst my Ummah would be those who would come after me, but everyone amongst them would have the intense desire to catch a glimpse of me even at the cost of his family and wealth.
“None of you should long for death, for if he is a good man, he may increase his good deeds, and if he is an evil-doer, he may stop the evil deeds and repent.”

Sayings of Holy Prophet SA, Imam Ali and other Imams
I have created this thread to share the hadith's and sayings of Prophet Mohamamd P.B.U.H. Imam Ali AS and other Imams.
Following is a narration on Imam Ali AS:
When Imam Ali was asked about Faith in Religion, he replied that the structure of faith is supported by four pillars endurance, conviction, justice and jihad.
Endurance is composed of four attributes: eagerness, fear, piety and anticipation (of death). so whoever is eager for Paradise will ignore temptations; whoever fears the fire of Hell will abstain from sins; whoever practices piety will easily bear the difficulties of life and whoever anticipates death will hasten towards good deeds.
Conviction has also four aspects to guard oneself against infatuations of sin; to search for explanation of truth through knowledge; to gain lessons from instructive things and to follow the precedent of the past people, because whoever wants to guard himself against vices and sins will have to search for the true causes of infatuation and the true ways of combating them out and to find those true ways one has to search them with the help of knowledge, whoever gets fully acquainted with various branches of knowledge will take lessons from life and whoever tries to take lessons from life is actually engaged in the study of the causes of rise and fall of previous civilizations .
Justice also has four aspects depth of understanding, profoundness of knowledge, fairness of judgment and dearness of mind; because whoever tries his best to under- stand a problem will have to study it, whoever has the practice of studying the subject he is to deal with, will develop a clear mind and will always come to correct decisions, whoever tries to achieve all this will have to develop ample patience and forbearance and whoever does this has done justice to the cause of religion and has led a life of good repute and fame.
Jihad is divided into four branches: to persuade people to be obedient to Allah; to prohibit them from sin and vice; to struggle (in the cause of Allah) sincerely and firmly on all occasions and to detest the vicious. Whoever persuades people to obey the orders of Allah provides strength to the believers; whoever dissuades them from vices and sins humiliates the unbelievers; whoever struggles on all occasions discharges all his obligations and whoever detests the vicious only for the sake of Allah, then Allah will take revenge on his enemies and will be pleased with Him on the Day of Judgment
