Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever has wronged his brother, should ask for his pardon (before his death), as (in the Hereafter) there will be neither a Dinar nor a Dirham. (He should secure pardon in this life) before some of his good deeds are taken and paid to his brother, or, if he has done no good deeds, some of the bad deeds of his brother are taken to be loaded on him (in the Hereafter)."
^- i hope we all apply the above hadith in our lives.
Narrated Anas bin Malik: A man asked the Prophet "When will the Hour be established O Allah's Apostle?" The Prophet said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, " I haven't prepared for it much of prayers or fast or alms, but I love Allah and His Apostle." The Prophet said, "You will be with those whom you love." (Bukhari : Book 8 : Volume 73 : Hadith 192)
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "O people! Spread greetings of peace, feed (the poor and needy), behave kindly to your relatives, offer prayer when others are asleep, and (thus) enter Paradise in peace."[Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 269]
The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "I fear for my Ummah about three things: Going astray after having recognized the truth; and being misled by the trials and the ordeals; and the base desires incited by lust and hunger." (Al Amali, Chapter 13, Hadith 1)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said "Whenever a Muslim is afflicted with a hardship, sickness, sadness, worry, harm, or depression even a thorn's prick, Allah expiates his sins because of it" [Bukhari]
Hazrat Ali has said, "Patience is to belief as the head is to the body. If the head is gone the body is also destroyed. So also, if patience is vanished belief also goes away and is no more.’’ (Al Kafi 1680)
The best of the people are those who influence people to do good, prevent them from doing wrong, whose hearts are full of compassion and who fear God. [Muslim]
Hazrat Ali says The believer is the brother (in belief) of the believer. They are like the same body. If one part complains of pain the rest of the body also feels it. Their spirits are from one spirit. The spirit of the believer’s connection with the spirit of Allah is stronger than the connection of the sun’s rays to the sun.’” (Al Kafi 2033)
I asked Abil Hassan Al-Reza, ‘O son of God’s Prophet! Why did the Honorable the Exalted God create all things to be the same way? Why did He not create everything to be of the same kind?’
Al-Reza replied, ‘That was so that they do not think that He is incapable, and nothing can come to an atheist’s mind which the Honorable the Exalted God has not created. That was so that they cannot ask whether or not the Honorable the Exalted God is able to create such and such a creature, since the Blessed the Sublime has already created it. And considering all the varieties of creatures that He has created, they realize that He has power over all things.” (Uyun Akhbar al-Raza)
Hazrat Ali says, “I will describe Islam in a way that no one could have done before or would do after me except just as my description: ‘Islam is submission and submission is certainty. Certainty is affirmation (and confirmation). Affirmation is professing. Professing is action. Action and deeds are completion and remittance. A believer does not take his religion from his own personal opinion. It comes from his Lord and he accepts it. A believer finds his certainty in his deeds. An unbeliever finds his rejection in his deeds. I swear by the One in whose hands is my soul, they did not recognize their goal. Take a lesson from the case of the filthy deeds of the unbelievers and the hypocrites.’” (Al-Kafi)
Imam Baqir says, "Beware of pondering over (the form and shape, etc. of) God. However, if you want to marvel at His greatness, then look at the greatness of His creation." (Al-Kafi)
Jafri - Thank you for posting, some great reads but the thread is "Hadith of the day", so i guess we should post the sayings of Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h??
Narrated 'Abdullah: I visited the Prophet (peace be upon him) during his ailments and he was suffering from a high fever. I said, "You have a high fever. Is it because you will have a double reward for it?" He said, "Yes, for no Muslim is afflicted with any harm but that Allah will remove his sins as the leaves of a tree fall down." [Bukhari Book 7 Volume 70 Hadith 550]
The Prophet (SAS) said: ‘The Dua of a Muslim for his brother (in Islam)
in his absence is readily accepted. An Angel is appointed to his side.
Whenever he makes a beneficial dua for his brother the appointed Angel
says “Ameen”. And may you also be blessed with the same.” (Sahih Muslim)(salwa)*
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said "It is not permissible for a Muslim to have estranged relations with his brother beyond three nights, the one turning one way and the other turning the other way when they meet ; the better of the two is one who is the first to give a greeting." [Muslim Book 32, Number 6210]

Sorry for going off topic -
Lol so what I was posting are not ahadith? Ahadith are traditions from a scion of Divine revelation. In Shia Islam, the 12 imams are chosen viceroys by Allah (swt). What does hadith literally translate to? Speech, report, narrative. And in Islamic context it would be the sayings and doings of religious leaders - Prophets and Imams. Also, there are a nice number of ahadith from the sahaba instead of Rasoolallah (saw). If you don't want any ahadith from the Shia view, I'm cool with that.
Ibad fromAmr b. Thabit from Abu Ja`far from his father from his fathers. He said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعليهم said: The stars in the sky are a safeguard for the inhabitants of heaven; so when the stars of the sky go that which the inhabitants of heaven dislike will come. And the stars of my Ahl al-Bayt from my sons, the eleven stars, are a safeguard in the earth for the inhabitants of the earth lest it may shake with its inhabitants. And when the stars of my Ahl al-Bayt go away from the earth, that which the inhabitants of the earth are averse to shall come. [Asl of Abu Said]
