Al-Nawwas bin Sam'an, radiyallahu 'anhu, reported that the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, said:

"Righteousness is good character, and sin is that which wavers in your heart and which you do not want people to know about."[RIGHT][Muslim] [/RIGHT]

According to Wabisah bin Ma'bad, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said:

I came to the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, and he said: "You have come to ask about righteousness ?"

" Yes," I answered.

He said: "Consult your heart. Righteousness is that about which the soul feels tranquil and the heart feels tranquil, and sin is what creates restlessness in the soul and moves to and fro in the breast, even though people give you their opinion **(in your favour) and continue to do so."**

Narrated Sahl (ra): The Prophet (saw) said:

"There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe Sawm (fasts) will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, ’Where are those who used to observe Sawm (fasts)?’ They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."

On the authority of Abu Dhar Jundub bin Junadah, and Muadh bin Jabal that the messenger of Allah said:

"Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good one and it will wipe it out, and behave well towards people."

The messenger of Allah (saws) reported in a hadith al-Qudsi that Allah (SWT) said:

*"All acts done by the sons of Adam are meant for him, except fasting. It is exclusively meant for Me, and I (alone) will reward him for it" *

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:

Allah's Apostle said,

"Surely! Everyone of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charges: The Imam (ruler) of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects; a man is the guardian of his family (household) and is responsible for his subjects; a woman is the guardian of her husband's home and of his children and is responsible for them; and the slave of a man is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it. Surely, everyone of you is a guardian and responsible for his charges."

Imam Ahmed bin hanbal (rh) was asked about the correct meaning of the hadith "When you hear from or about your brother, ascribe from it the best interpretation until you can no longer do so"

He replied, Find excuses for him by saying "May be he said this, or may be he meant such and such."

The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing (others), for that is how to help him."

Narrated Abu Hurairah (ra):

I heard the Prophet saying,** “If there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day, would you notice any dirt on him?”**

They said*, “Not a trace of dirt would be left.”*

The Prophet added “That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out evil deeds.”

“The son of Adam will not pass away from Allah until he is asked about five things:

*how he lived his life, *

how he utilized his youth,

*with what means did he earn his wealth, *

what did he do with his knowledge.”

"When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks your daughter in marriage, accede to his request. If you do not do so, there will be temptation on Earth and extensive corruption."
