~*H.A.D.I.T.H*~ of the Day

Re: ~H.A.D.I.T.H~ of the Day

The Prophet (saw) said: "O son of Adam, if you spend the surplus, it will be better for you; and if you retain it, it will be bad for you. You will not be reprimanded for keeping what is enough for your needs. Begin with those who are your dependents, and the upper hand (i.e., the one that spends in the way of Alllah)is better than the lower hand (i.e., the one that receives charity)
Sahih Muslim Hadith Number 552 Narrated By Abu Umamah (r.a)

Re: ~H.A.D.I.T.H~ of the Day

Suffering at the time of Death

When Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala wants to have mercy on His servant, He
makes him sick to pardon his sins. Calamities fall on him and his
sustenance is reduced. If some sins still remain, there is hardship at
the time of death, so that when he appears before Allah, he is clean and
pure as when he was born. And when Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala wants to
punish someone, then for whatever good deeds he may have done in the
world, his sustenance is increased, there is peace in his house, and his
death is made easy if any good deeds remain. So that when he finally
comes before Allah, he has no good deeds left to save him from the fire
of Hell.

In another Hadith it is reported that when a believer has some sins left
and no good deeds left, then the pain and hardships of death overcome it
and take him to Paradise. And when an unbeliever does some good deeds,
the death is made easy for him so that he is rewarded in this world and
his abode will be in Hell in the Hereafter. In a Hadith reported by
Alqamah bin Qais Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu it is stated that he once
visited his cousin at the time of death. When he touched his forehead,
it was wet with sweat. He said ''Allahu Akbar'' with pleasure and
narrated that Hadrat Ibne Mas'ud Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu had reported
from Allah's Most Beloved Prophet, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu
Ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam that a believer's death sign is his
sweat on the fore-head. Every believer is punished in this world for his
sins and whatever sins remain are accounted for by the hardships at the
time of his death.

Re: ~H.A.D.I.T.H~ of the Day

JazakAllah khair sister, for the kind prayers and words of encouragement.

Abu Salama reported**: I used to see dreams (and was so much perturbed) that I began to quiver and have temperature, but did not cover myself with a mantle. I met Abu Qatada and made a mention of that to him. He said: I heard Allali's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: A good vision comes from Allah and a (bad) dream (hulm) from devil. So when one of. you sees a bad dream (hulm) which he does not like, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil; then it will not harm him.

**(Muslim)

Abu Salama reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: I used to see dreams, but the hadith transmitted on the authority of Laith b. Nu'man, the words of Abu Salama at the concluding part of the hadith are not mentioned. Ibn Rumh has reported in the hadith:" He (one who sleeps) should change the side on which he had been lying before."
(Muslim)

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: If anyone sees a dream which he does not like, he should spit on his left side.

(Muslim)

Ubida b. as-Samit reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The vision of a believer is the forty-sixth part of Prophecy.
(Muslim)

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The pious dreams are the seventieth part of Prophecy

Hadith 1:657

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Once Allah's Apostle rode a horse and fell down and the right side (of his body) was injured. He offered one of the prayers while sitting and we also prayed behind him sitting. When he completed the prayer, he said, "The Imam is to be followed. Pray standing if he prays standing and bow when he bows; rise when he rises; and if he says, 'Sami a-l-lahu-liman hamida, say then, 'Rabbana wa Lakal-hamd' and pray standing if he prays standing and pray sitting (all of you) if he prays sitting."
Humaid said: The saying of the Prophet "Pray sitting, if he (Imam) prays sitting" was said in his former illness (during his early life) but the Prophet prayed sitting afterwards (in the last illness) and the people were praying standing behind him and the Prophet did not order them to sit. We should follow the latest actions of the Prophet.

Allah's Messenger said:

Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of a dark night.

Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection:
Where are those who love one another through My glory? Today I shall give them shade in My shade, it being a day when there is no shade but My shade

It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Malik).

Re: ~H.A.D.I.T.H~ of the Day

The following hadith indicates that Allah likes good deeds which are done ONLY for pleasing Allah and NOT for impressing others.

Here three people are discussed who would be brought infront of Allah for trial

The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr

He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them?

He will say: I fought for you until I died a martyr

Allah will say: You have lied - you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: He is courageous.

And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

[Another] will be a man who has studied [religious] knowledge and has taught it and who used to recite the Quran. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: And what did you do about them?

He will say: I** studied [religious] knowledge and I taught it and I recited the Quran for Your sake.**

He will say: You have lied - you did but study [religious] knowledge that it might be said [of you]: He is learned.

And you recited the Quran that it might be said [of you]: He is a reciter. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

[Another] will be a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given all kinds of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. [The Almighty] will say: *And what did you do about them? *

He will say: I left no path [untrodden] in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake.

He will say: You have lied - you did but do so that it might be said [of you]: He is open-handed. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire

It was related by Muslim (also by at-Tirmidhi and an-Nasa'i).
