Has anyone ever tried any of their programs?
I’m interested in signing up for one of their classes. Anyone have any experience with them?
Re: Gymboree Classes
Okay I dont want to scare you - but I know you're in NJ too so I'll tell you of a neighbor of mine who went to the Old Bridge Gymboree and her daughter caught Cocsackie. And since they go to the same babysitter my son caught it too and it was nasty!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Gymboree Classes
Whoa. The old bridge one is the closest one to me.
Other than that, is it worth paying $60 a month for?
There's been a random (insane) out burst of cocksakie around here.
So scary :(
Re: Gymboree Classes
hmm why don't you look into activities in the local library?
St. Stan's in sayreville has a Mommy and Me program for about the same price.

Where are you?
I know - its the most creepiest thing ever!
My pediatrician was saying how she hadn't seen it in years and now its all over the palce.
Do they only get it once like chicken pox or can they get over and over again?

Do they have a website? The main thing is that I want my daughter to have something fun to look forward to every week and for her to meet other children her age.
The mommy and me program, do they play, paint and have gymnastics? There's another one in bridgewater called the little gym where they offer gymnastic classes.
Gymboree just intrigued me cause they've offer a wide variety of classes.
Re: Gymboree Classes
^^ I dont think they have a site.
They paint and cook and stuff like that with mommies.
There is a mommy and toddle yoga class in JC but that may not be a good idea for you since your preggers.
Hmm if youre comfortable with it - then go for it.
Just use all the hand santizer ever! I use that stuff on my kids hands feet arms everywhere they touched a public item.

I'm in New England (about 30 mins from Boston).
One of my friends got it and it was BAD!!!
Her doctor said it's more common in children, not so much in adults.
So, when adults get it, it hits HARRRRRD!!! Bechari.
It looked so gross! Lol
Re: Gymboree Classes
coxsackie huh..
well I think it builds your childrens immune system to be exposed to bacteria as well as chicken pox etc and uh sanitizing your kid every few minutes is more dangerous than them getting sick.
I thought you were going to send your kid to ballet lessons wendy?
Re: Gymboree Classes
Kakee I wanna keep my options opened. Maybe gymnastics isn’t so bad either.
Besides, the dance school is so expensive ![]()
Re: Gymboree Classes
I did ballet, gymnastics and violin/piano when I was little.
Its not bad at all and I'm sure you would rather have a daughter who has good posture instead of a girl who slouches all the time.

Its very hard to see your kids suffer that bad and not be able to sleep because he's not eaten for two days due to the soars in his mouth and his feet are burning and itching because of the blisters. Yes so I think I'll be building his immune system another way. Bacteria and virus are different things and this is a virus not your average bacteria.

Yes. That's the reason for me looking into ballet and gymnastics. But I wouldn't want her to continue it when she grows up though, but that's just my personal choice and I have nothing against those who do.
So gymboree also offer arts classes. Sounds interesting. I think I'm gonna sign her up for a free class and see how it goes.

It is but in the end if its a one time thing like chicken pox I see it as a good thing rather than a bad. Of course I wouldn't set out for my kid to get sick but I wouldn't go crazy on the hand sanitizer.

yah go for it.
You should think about martial arts too. My friend sends all her daughters to karate classes and I think it builds confidence and they will be able to defend themselves in the future. (bullies/attackers)
I also think it teaches balance and patience. Unlike boxing thats an attack sport its about defense.
Re: Gymboree Classes
I take my son to gymboree classes. Pay 114 a month .. not 60. There was a thread before too on this topic. Search.

On their website, play and learn is $69 a month.
I did search but couldn't find a topic on this.
Re: Gymboree Classes
I don't see that any where on their website.. says 49 for the first month... after that I am paying 114 for each month. I live in NY if that makes a difference.. but I think it doesn't.
Re: Gymboree Classes
what the heck is cocksakie???
