There is no point in joining a gym if you are going to carry on stuffing yourself silly with junk food. No amount of exercise will help until you stop gorging.
That is half the battle. Once you control that, do basic cardio on your own if you can't afford a gym: skipping with a rope for 30-40 minutes non-stop 4 times a week; walking/jogging/hiking outdoors; belly dancing is a great option too! It helps firm up your abs and develop a more shapely waist.
