So yeah, I am thinking to taking up the membership :hinna: I am a freaking lazy soul, actually I think I wouldnt be wrong in calling me Garfied
As for the Gym, my purpose is not really to lose weight ( upto two KG is ok , anything lower then that gives me a negative BMI ) , the actual purpose is just to ensure body remains active and flexible coz due to a desk job I hardly move at all .. its almost the same with household chores , not enough exercise ..
So what machines and exercises should i focus on ?
Re: Gym, Here I come
I would recommend you alternative between yoga, pilates and aerobic classes which will overall help strengthen your body and add flexibility.
Re: Gym, Here I come
hmmm ... yoga is a no .. I cant for the life of me sit in awkward positions .. i think its more to do with my body flexibility ... but aerobics is something that is topping my list at the moment ..
a friend recommended Zumba as well :hmmm :
Re: Gym, Here I come
i love jogging, for some reason gyms make me claustrophobic.......fresh air can do wonders to your skin and its free
Re: Gym, Here I come
Avoid machines. Go for aerobics classes like Zumba or kickboxing etc. It will improve your overall fitness and tone your body
Re: Gym, Here I come
Your best of doing classes, I find the machines quite re dative
Doing boot camp classes intensive interval training is quite good

Re: Gym, Here I come
Toba, jealous log
Thanks everyone .. I think i might try spinning as well .. what say?
Re: Gym, Here I come
start lifting weights (and no u won't look like arnie!)...google some strenghtening/toning exericses for women. I think with the kind of cardio you're mentioning, u will lose weight and since that's not your main goal, you should look into other kind of workouts to supplement or replace your routine.
Re: Gym, Here I come
as others have said, you want to incorporate lots of cardio in your workout. Cardio does tone you up aswell. To be well defined, you want to do light weights with more reps. And then you have simple things like push ups press ups etc etc. Hope that helped.
Re: Gym, Here I come
Definitely join Zumba and pilates. It's so much fun! I hate exercising but the classes are fun!
Re: Gym, Here I come
