Re: Gym Etiquette

^good one.. ok ill add some..

if you'd like to use a piece of equipment someone else is using , ask them if you can work between their sets, then after your set.... allow the other person to use the equipment.

When u're finished with a piece of eqiupment always remember to wipe off your sweat from the machine.

Put equipment away when ure done with it , to its right place.

Do not stand in front of the dumbbell rack.

Turn off ur cellphones

Do not whistle and keep ur iPod/mp3's volume to a level where only u are able to listen.

hmmm....will think of some more later.

Re: Gym Etiquette

nd stop starring at girls if ur gng to a co gym

Dont’ msot gyms have htese etiquette rules posted uP?
The one on my campus has a few rules: always wipe down your machines and equipment. People are generally good with this. Since it’s a limited space, the time limit is 20 minutes for cardio machines. People do not follow this very much. People have to sign up for the machines. People are good with that. and they have to rack their weigths back. People are very bad with that. At the end of my shift i have to put back all the weights and I don’t mind doin git but i hate when they’re put back in wrong places, like the 10 lb weight does not belong on the 45 lb rack

I don't know about most gyms...but most of this meat-head stuff doesn't really go on that much at least not the one i'm at. people are generally focussed on themselves and as far as i know there have been no reports of harrassment or pervy guys.

Re: Gym Etiquette

ahh and another one ..

this is kinda disgusting but o well... etiquette is etiquette..so here goes...

Release your fart where there's no one to smell it.!! yuck!

Re: Gym Etiquette

Re: Gym Etiquette

Re: Gym Etiquette

heehheheheeh
wow!!!

I have to control my grunting dont I then..

Re: Gym Etiquette

FF i think you named most of them…but here is one…

when you are taking a cardio class (ie zumba) do leave enough space around you so that the person next to you has room to move around freely as well. In other words…dont try to squeeze in b/w two people

Re: Gym Etiquette

AE..ya thats good one..

ok why do some women need to bring their lil kids with them ????and then the kid insists their mom that they wanna give treadmill a try... and the moms let them do it..when they know theres like 2/3 people waiting for her kid to get off! :(

so... plzz..do not bring ur kids at gym ..pretty please!

i hate when i see kids running around the gym (although it doesnt happen often)...not because I dont like em but because i am afraid they'll get hurt.

I agree!...unless you plan on taking your kid straight to the child care center...dont bring em!

Re: Gym Etiquette

oooo I have one :raises hand:

Do not wear your PJ's to gym and work out!

yeah folks, i have seen it happen and that too, a pakistani girl! a couple people were taking her picture on their cell phone...

Re: Gym Etiquette

That is so weird i have never seen kids in the gym ever... then again.. it is mostly students and noone is silly nuff to do that.

Re: Gym Etiquette

I've never seen kids in the gym..!!
the one i used to go to a few years ago used to have a day care, and even then i never saw kids running around.
the only thing that i don't like is when people are literally running on the treadmill and are out of breath and are still trying to talk over the cell phone....and they are soooo loud then...its kinda offensive.
