Now you’re purposely twisting my posts and in the direction you desire. Why dont you come to Pakistan to live and work here. Especially on Gwadar projects? You’ll get all the proofs you need. I did not investigate further, just realised there was no point in associating oneself with this project because it is never going to take off. So I quit. You can come and find your own proofs.

The facts mentioned in above thread were not based on my ‘proof-less’ experience of problems with Gwadar project but I just wrote some of the things said by Ahmed Pundit in that lecture. You were rejecting if that guy even existed. But when I gave you the info you asked (because the proofs you asked for are right there in the video lecture), you opted to hide instead of admitting that guy was real, not fake as you claimed.
And in the following thread, I asked you to provide proofs of the existence of evolution of human race before demanding proofs of existence of jinns. But again you opted to ignore:

You’re saying all of the above information is fake? His maternal grand father was fake or did not exist?
His maternal grand father is not the only one from his family whose name he mentioned in his lecture but he named his father, paternal grand father, his mother, two sisters, all holding important positions with the indian government institutions.
You’re denying facts as transparent as water. Not surprised coming from someone who denies existence of God.

We are building this port mainly for Chinese exports and you are saying the Chinese want to fail this project?

By that reasoning, the port will greatly benefit PAKISTAN. Then why is it that Pakistani officials want this and many other projects (various water dams, power and other projects) in Pakistan to fail? Do they not care what doom Pakistan is suffering due to their corruption? I have clearly mentioned what the root cause is (corruption of whether chinese contractors or pakistani). Not much the government of china can do about it.

You are confusing here, in earlier post you said Chinese officials want Gwadar to fail and here you are saying Pakistani officials want it to fail, first please clearly tell us who you think is trying to fail this project.

Quote my “earlier post” in which (as per your claim), I mentioned only chinese officials to be responsible for non operational gwadar. Now don’t go hiding like queer ALWAYS does. I’m waiting for your reply along with the quote of that “earlier post” of mine.

There is not a single party so how can I name just ‘one’? There are various parties. I named Chinese and Pakistani officials because currently, developing Gwadar is their responsibility so they should do the job by rejecting any international or local pressure they receive to keep it nonoperational. I interacted with various people and I will write below who they thought was failing it (Considering that we have taken into account that pakistani officials are involved in failing it too through all kind of support required locally):
- UAE (Through bribing)
- India (Through unrest in Balouchistan/Karachi)
- Chinese officials (Through giving/receiving bribes)
Other reasons are, those who purchased land (residential/commercial land around Gwadar) as consumers are not willing to purchase more because there is zero development in more than 10 years. Majority actually sold off in lower prices. The investors are unable to find customers because there is NO development no matter what they news says. I heard from the ones who visited the site earlier in 2002 and recently. They said the only development is some ‘highway’. Maybe KHI-Balouchistan highway. They’re offering free trip (from PC to the sight)/stay at PC to look at the sight to any potential investors (Residential or commercial). Major hotels have bought the land around the port. But the first phase of worst corruption has really scared all kinds of small and big investors that no one is willing to take the risk again. They’re sure they’re going to lose more money by investing there. They’re selling land as cheap as PKR. 3 lacs (residential 1100 square feet 10 minutes drive from the port). But due to trust deficit, not a single person I consulted for advice gave a positive opinion. Actually, I was promoting the project to international investors. They were like, “PAKISTAN? BALOUCHISTAN? GWADAR? NO WAY!”. No one wants to invest as little as PKR. 3 lacs because they’re SURE it’ll never take off, no second thoughts. And I was given the above reasons for why they think that. There were 2-3 young Pakistanis who said it ‘may’ take off in the next 5-6 years. I eagerly wished to move there to live and work because they said there were well paying teaching jobs (PKR.150K a month - How Bad is that considering the low cost of living in Balouchistan?). It’s such a beautiful coastline. Must have a look. So refreshing. Unlike the dirty beaches of Karachi. Was hoping they’ll make a (ladies only) beach there (I love beaches). But currently, even the thought sounds so crazy to some. There were various opinions about living there:
- It’s a ghost town.
- Not ‘safe’ for males, and a single female!!!
- My parents’ resistance (They think Im too optimistic about Pakistan).
The list goes on…
I felt there was too much negativity and being a fair person, I did not want to be the cause of anyone’s loss.
Our own so called ‘loyal’ leadership invests billions of dollers in properties overseas (UAE, Saudia). Common Pakistanis just follow the examples set by the ‘loyal’ Pakistani elite in all the matters. They dont want to come across as ‘fools’ for investing in pakistan.
I think this post has got too lengthy. But to answer your questions. There is no ONE factor or ONE party to name. Maybe some honest Pakistanis should employ some investigators to find out all the causes. There must be a reason for why everyone is so scared to invest in Gwadar.

^^ One reason could be request from ‘friends’ (a third party, a different country. Could be UAE or india, I dont know) to whom they cant say no… kinda diplomatic pressure or something… a hefty amount OR other incentives so the ‘officials’ (includes Chinese as well as Pakistani officials) cant say no. That is what someone I was promoting the project to told me. So I thought I was wasting my time.
