She put a watch at the bottom of a glass jar and then filled up the glass jar with 101 chits of paper, with a different reason why she loved him written on each one.
So on V-Day he read 101 reasons why she loved him and then got a watch at the end of it.

I too dont believe in valentines day either since its just another corporate scam to make you feel obliged to spend unnecessarily.
Anyway if it was just any occasion then flowers teddy bears and all other mushy stuff is a big NO (though i know a few guys who are into teddy bears and its a bit disturbing). Chocolates will do because that falls under food and men usually dont turn down food.
