Material Gifts (Birthday)
Notebook. She knew I was looking to buy one. I bookmarked and printed the specs of one notebook i liked, and she ordered it without telling me. She asked for the delivery on birthday with flowers :) (although now she tease me saying that you printed and bookmarked it for a resaon ;) )

Material Gifts (Anniversary)
A gift pack that she gave me on our wedding anniversary. She was actually being thoughtful. She left for Pakistan 5 days before our anniversary but she packed it and hide it in our appartment. Then she called me at 12:01am on our anniversary day and asked me to go to and see whats there. That was some special feeling. And look at me ....ullu ka patha. I thought that when i'll join her in Pakistan tu i'll buy her something. (of course on phone my makeup line was, I am your gift. aaj main tum ko mila tha na ;) )

The best gift I ever got my husband was tickets to a match during the 1999 cricket world cup. I could barely afford them, and he didn't even take me, but he still talks about it.

I will probably never be able to top that one.

for my bday he gave me a gift....it was actually his luck as well that helped him. but he sent me a teddy bear...really huge bear with my sister from PK when she was coming to america....and i was holding it and i squeezed its hand and it started singing...happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you....happy birthday my fiance.....happy birthday too you....And we were engaged at that time too...I am not sure if he knew that the bear sang...it was luck or it was planned....still a mystery.

I think one of the presents that really made his day for him was when I was in America and on his bday i special ordered flowers and cake for him and got it home delivered for him. He really liked that....
