Since all the guys in your group have long nails, one may conclude that your school has so much work load that guys don't even get time to clip their nails. Unfortunate. Though decidedly better than the other alternative, which is that all the guys in your school belong to some dubious communities.

I have seen many Far-Eastern guys who have long nail on the small finger. Not sure if its religious or cultural. Looks ugly, either way.

Guys who play regular proper cricket always clip their nails.Almost every week or atleast before a match. Cricket ball hitting the nail can cuz some serious pain....

There is a man out there (in India if I recall correctly) who has 51 inch long fingernails or somin, I saw it on Guiness World Records. You know what's cool about that? I wonder if he's ever tried scratching his eye.

Just before writing Economics exam this afternoon, I decided to have an iced-cap and a Toblerone bar to keep myself awake through the exam.
While peeling the wrapper off Toblerone bar, somehow the edge (or corner) went a little bit in my skin underneath my thumb nail. I had a bit of hard time writing the exam because of the pain. It’s still hurting. 
I shouldn’t have complained!

A lot of men here have really long pinky nails. Yeah, just the pinky - and it's usually as long as acrylic nails before having them clipped/filed/shaped/etc - which is almost an inch, or sometimes more. I asked two people, one said it was "practical" and another said it was good luck. So. :-/
