SALAM Everyone,

                      Well i wanted to know that according to our our religion(Islam), What's area exactly need to be shaved  for the males?????? i m talking about **unneccsary Hair **of the body. Please do reply According to Quran-o-Hadith.

*Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported: *

The Prophet said: Fitrah (natural disposition) is five acts or five are the acts quite akin to the Fitrah (natural disposition), or five are the acts of Fitrah: circumcision, shaving the pubes(pubic hair), cutting the nails, plucking the hair under the armpits and clipping the mustache.

Thanks waseem for replying, Let me be clear, I am certain that we need to shave them but what is unclear to me is that what is area the pubic hair.Is this true to cut it from right beneath the navel? And out of these 8 what do we need to shave?

Penis
Scrotum
Anus
Thighs - the part around the penis and scrotum and their extent as some say we need to go down till the knees
The area in between the scrotum and the anus
The hips near the anus and the part further away
The area which is not the penis itself but around it
The part which is below the belly button and above the penis

andy936, Islam gives foremost attention to Taharat i.e. cleanliness, in case of males, we ought to shave our pubes before they get bigger than a grain of rice (in isze) so right from the navel to your genitalia needs to be shaved plus around four inches in your groin. The hairs around excretory opening can be trimmed, and hairs on your behind do not count on this, means they can be left alone.

The Ulema say to remove the hair every 15 days, more than 40 days it makes your salaat makrooh according to the hanafi fiqh
