Wont comment on whether investing is halal or haram. Setting that aside, responding to other points you raised.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. Warren Buffett says the best stocks are those you can buyand hold for years and not worry about daily price movements. Even if market closed for years you don’t care. Cause you bought a good company at a good price.

Investing is not rocket science. One needs discipline. It is gambling only for those who don’t do their homework.

As for some who “always talk about investing”, maybe because they love what they do. Just as some always talk about politics, some science, some history and some religion.

Buying and holding shares for years is not a business model … it is a pension plan …

I was limiting my discussion to the OP topic … but yes … low risk - has either low reward or delayed reward …
From knowledge these are most likely related to interest as well.
