guys need help( ones working in networking field)

guys i have a dilemma, completed my CCNA and have small time experiance with linux trying to complete rhce(linux 6.0 )
here in india there are many jobs available from MNCS (dell, ibm, infosys) as well as tier two companies on ccna, but nothing to do with cisco admin.instead as system admin with some small time work(like outlook express, cabling :\i know with few years experiance i can get good salary and move as level 1 cisco admin, right now for rhce(linux) there is very good opportunity here and pay scale is also good for indian standards. i have two choice either do ccnp may be with luck i can get on as level 1 or 2 cisco admin(can’t go into privilege mode:p) or as linux admin.

i can’t decide between this two, also if i go linux route will there be chance to jump into cisco field later? salary doesn’t matter for me atleast right now, with 2-3 years experiance many are earning good salary here.

I think you should take Cisco route… Don’t know now but few years ago Cisco was hot…

I am an EX CCIE…

Re: guys need help( ones working in networking field)

Right now, if money is not an issue, do some free internship or low salaried positions doing Cisco. Linux is ever changing and you’d be able to keep getting jobs in there but if you don’t have proper Cisco background you’d always have an issue. Plus later money WOULD become an issue and you won’t be able to take pay-cuts. Get a Cisco position but keep up with your Linux skills. The other way around Cisco leaves ur head much quicker.
