For those who are talking about what they prefer thats not the issue...what do your parents generally prefer...you may fall in love with a cabbie but that doesnt mean that your parents would ever see him as good enough for you...

Lol some parents think im wasting my top education by avoiding banking an thinking about areas such as social work and teaching...what you think hardly correlates with superifical views that parents think...

They emphasise capability in a material sense without prioritising how the guy actually is...

I think profession does play an important role but its more about family,economic and ethinic similarity and the guys job.
Unfortunately for girls, beauty still dominated the selection process.
