I'm not too fond of Asian culture. Its pretty crap.
i was born in england but spent my childhood in both pakistan and bits of it in england. the time i spent in pakistan was the time of my life to date no ounce of doubt about it. i have very fond memories of my time their and i still 10 years on think of the day me and my family left pak and moved back here, i get pretty emotional over it all now and then, life in pak was awesome, i was very close to my maternal grandparents + most of the maternal side of my family, i made lots of friends in school, some of my teachers too very gr8, life as a whole was phenominal.
since moving back here, life has certainly changed drastically. obviously things aren’t the same for us guys here as they were back ‘HOME’. but i’ve learn’t to take the rough with the smooth and life pretty much goes on i suppose.
i don’t know if i would’ve felt like i do about pakistan if i hadn’t of actually lived in pak but i don’t rue our decison to go there and live their when we did, cos i feel that was the best decision made by my parents back then and it will always remain a turning point in my life whenever i look back at my life in the future certainly, and i am very happy we lived their when we did warna shaahid main itna pyaar apnai pakistan sai kar paata kai nahin.
2 be quite honest with u guys i have always felt as being more pakistani than british, and :insha: ] that will always be the case. even though i haven’t lived in pak for the past 10 years or so i’d still say on a percentage scale i’m 95% pakistani and 5% british.
i love my roots and i love everything about my homeland, pakistan is my home not england and that’s the way i hope i will always feel until the day i die.

hmmm.. You know I don't really feel the need to identify myself as anything really. I was born in Pakistan and grew up in both the US and Pakistan long enough to consider both places my home. I am very comfortable in either.
I do have a preference for the US because of all the freedoms and opportunities I have here. Also I like living in a society and especially the city I am in now where I can meet and interact with people from all around the world.
oh its simple I feel like a brit-yankee-paki, percentages hmmm depends on whether I am watching cricket, football, or olympics :D

yes its pretty crap so lets just leave it!
if a culture is crap or has problems in it mean you distance from it? even you belong there. no matter what. they way you feel think may have british about it, and its natural. at the same time you feel and u try to discover your identity.
that probably one reason you are on Gupshup. A british will not give attention to it anyway.
So there are good and bad values or every culture! it all depend on a person what to adobt or what not to. wether its brit/american/ or Pakistani.
One thing I hate when people dont admit they are pakistani even they are born here. come on a Chinese will stay chinese regardless where he or she was bron!
I dont know why people admit like its some kind of shame or something. Be proud of yourself., beleive in yourself.
