Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

I’ve seen many road side incidents where during a flat tire, the guy is struggling to pull the spare out of the trunk, putting the jack under the car and lifting it, removing the bolts of the flat and replacing it, while the wife is just sitting on the divider or curbside, enjoying the weather.

I hope this isn’t the norm, as ladies should be vailable to help their husbands if that happens :halo:

What is your experience guys?

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

Well…I help my dad with his bike and his cars when ever there is something wrong…I dnt mind getting my hands dirty.

I remember once the fuel indicator was not working and we ran out of gas right in front of a traffic light…so ofcoz the cops came coz they had to clear the way to get the car to the side of the road. But they were sooo annoying..coz they were not helping my dad to push the car..they were just standing there like idiots and watching him do it.

I got so mad :aj: I got down from the car and started to push it with him..then they cops felt ashamed and they asked me to sit back inside the car and helped my dad to push it..and got some other guys to help out too…

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

Okay me sitting and staying out of his way is a form of helping. I don’t want to make more work u know :halo:

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

How stereotypical.

I do know how to change a tyre.

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

I am not asking if you do know, I am asking if you do help.

I know how to cook food and clean counter top but do I help my wife in the kitchen is another thing.

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

I do. I always place a pillow to cushion his knees and bring him water. I also hug him and tell him what a hero he is for doing that

:chai:

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

awwwwwwwwwwwwwww :cb: :cb: so cute :cb:

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

In that case, the woman should try to help, but seeing as most men think it’s “their domain”…they wouldn’t let the woman help anyway - they’d probably just get frustrated with the woman hovering over them asking them questions constantly and then they’re embarassed that they’re struggling to remove the bolts or get the jack under the car…and then icing on the cake - they wipe their mucky hands on their jeans and then the wife daants them…:nahi:

So…ya…like Sara said…it’s best if we stay out of the way :halo:

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

hey better to wipe hands on tier jeans than someone elses

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

yeah she calls AAA to come and change it.

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

I'd love to help but I know he'll never let me!

I guess this has come as a result of my earlier thread :whistling:

My brother in law is a mechanic so I know a fair bit about cars. My fiance is also a car fanatic and usually does most of the mechanics on his own/family cars and helps out at his mates garage every now and then so I know a fair bit from him too, usually because he insists on talking me through the things he has done/is doing to the car

In response to your question, I can change a tyre myself (it’s something my dad and brothers have always said I should know how to do if I want to drive a car!) but whether I’d actually help out if my husband was changing a tyre, I don’t know about. Sometimes it’s best to just leave them to it, and stand there watching them hard at work :shireen:

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

What if I the wife knows how to fix a flate not the husband.. :(

Ok one time I tyre main hawa kam ho gaei thi.. I asked for help .. I was alone.. I asked for help and got the tyre fixed at the shop.. yaay me!

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

^ That's why women should know how to do basic things with a car (at least until you can have someone check it over for you properly). I have a fear of getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with a car I can't fix, no phone signal and a possible serial killer on the loose lol. Not likely in England, but all those American crime programmes have got me thinking!!

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

I know absolutely nothing about a car except that it is used as a means of transport :@:

I hand him the wet-wipes when he's done!

:omg:

:omg:

I had a flat tyre once and I grabbed two random passer-by’s (males) to change it for me while I stood there and watched :roman:

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

we usually end of arguing in such situations :) so if I try to help it deosn't help LOLZZZ

re: Guys, does your wife help you out in changing a flat tire

When he’s in my domain , I give him the "ye pakrain, dish nikaal dain bi , bin clear ker dein bi " etc etc jobs … While I concentrate on the main bit …

When I am in his domain , he gives me the non important jobs :naraz: like “baagh ki screw driver laana bi please… idar si dakha lagao bi zor sai please” etc etc

So yeah , it largely depends on the situation on who becomes the assistant :sahar02:
