I think Deeba is right. And one thinks of it, it is mutual benefits for both to work hard to pay off their debts. And when seems settle down then wife takes off coz of the baby. So yes it is plus if wife works as well.

Girls are not obliged to share income. Advantages is less financial pressure on household, a better use of time, housework and domestic life can be handled way quicker by some women and then the idle time leads to discontent.

Reasons I work:
Not sure of my marriage.
I don't wanna rely on him, not that I have the luxury to.
So that I don't have to deal with his thousand family members.
The big one is probably the fact that I am not sure about him and you need money in life.

If they are not sharing income then I don't see how it would benefit the household. I guess it might free the husband from purchasing crap for the wife as she can buy it herself.

Exactly. And they are not obliged. Husbands are not freed from anything. That is their duty. But though the wives are not obliged, they may spend their money as they wish and where else does a person spend money but on his/ her own home?

infact these are not paindoo comments..even in islam our Rasool(s.a.w) said that its a duty of a husbend to take care of his wife by earning rizq-e-e-halal.

We learn to drive safely because we want to avoid that one fatal incident that could leave us dead or handicapped.
Wife should be a professional and working just for the reason that if the husband becomes unable to work or dies(God forbid), she is able to support herself intead of being a burden to someone else.

Yeah most guys who think like this will later start complaining that why does wife need all these things, why does she want so many stuff, why is life with her so expensive and why did u marry such a materialistic woman. No, because the thought that maybe I should buy her more or let her get a job, will never cross the minds of most men who think like thsi :p
