guys and weddings and clothes help!!!

Hi,

I am always on here asking questions about fashion for ME ME ME!!! Now I need some advice for my boys.
Yes so we have 2 weddings, not long now before I go. My older son won’t be there till 2 days before one of the weddings due to exams so I am thinking what should he wear for the baraat day? Tradional or western attire?

Of course for the mehndi it will be shalwar/kurtas shalwar. I am also liking the idea of kurtas with jeans for the mehndi? what do you think? Is this fashionable? If not then what is?
What can they wear for the baraat? On one wedding my younger son is the sarbala so he will wear matching as the dulha sherwani or something. Lekin bara beta…what can he wear?

Please help I am clueless to guys fashion, but I want my laadla’s to look nice too

Re: guys and weddings and clothes help!!!

The great thing about being a guy is that you can buy a fantastic suit for a wedding, and then wear it umpteen different ways depending on the situation. I would suggest that with everyone running after fads, u have him wear something classic with some modern touch.

If you want something for baraat that will rock, get him a slim fitting single breasted midnight blue..very dark navy suit..flat front trousers, single or 2 button peak lapel double vented jacket, crisp white shirt and a silver grey tie. Noe he can wear that suit many ways for years.

if you want to go the desi route, get a very dark grey sherwani, (not black) if the fabric is a wool and cashmere blend it will have just a subtle shine, get dull gunmetal buttons rather than the typical fabric coloured ones, and then for embroidery, dont overdo it..i.e. none on sleeve cuffs and shoulders, but on the collar using that dull metallic silver and black combo thread. for design, instead of the typical desi floral design, look at architecture books like the ones which shoe alhambra in spain, and get some of that geometric pattern embroidered. instead of doing the typical white shalwaar and khussay or saleem shahi, do a wide pajama..i.e. not churi dar and not just skiny straight, slightly wider, instead of doing it in plain white, find a white with light stripes in it..so they are not in your face stripes but .. pair it with chelsea boots. In the front pocket of the sherwaani, put a pocket square which is black with grey rolled edge
