Gur chawal !

Anyone knows a good recipe??? :hmmm:

I got some jaggery on my way back from Lahore and am planning to make gur chawal :e6:

yep...i LOVED it always! i think it tastes better if you use sugarcane juice [comes in cans] instead of guR [jaggery] what you say? my Bhabhi once made it with fresh sugarcane juice in India and it was yummy! :)

take equal quantity of both..rice n gurh..if u take half kg rice then take the same weight of gurh....then for example in a half glass water just boil the half kg gurh(first cut it into small parts to get it dissolve easily)remember water should nt b much in gurh..then boil rice but not completly(ek kani left)then take 6 spoons margirine n add some elachi in it wen aroma gets started then add the gurh sheera in it n boiled rice also coconut ,almonds or watever u wish...then cook it on less them medium flame for half an hour...remember flame should nt b high or extreme low..also rice should b enough cooked otherwise they wont cook in gurh sheera...wen u notice dat the gurh liquid is evaporated n rice r almost done then keep the pot on DAM(a super light flame or switch off the stove if u hv electric stove).try n tell me:) gurh mixture should nt b so runny or so thick..
