The way this idea had been inititally sold by ravage, I had been under the impression that it was akin to a peer reviewed journal. I just noticed though that anyone can submit anything. How is that any different from these forums then aside from maybe the length being longer? I think articles should be reviewed before getting “published” otherwise it’s just these forums morphed a little bit.

You can submit an article any time, but they don't get published before being reviewed ppl editors.

it is peer reviewed. we'll be releasing guidelines for authors and details on the reviewing process in a few days which should clear things up a little.

I think you've been properly informed by ravage that it's going to be a peer-reviewed process, and it is going to be something substantially different than the main forum.
Spelling mistakes, how regrettable they are, cannot always be avoided, especially at the beginning of such undertaking.
As ravage has indicated more formal guidelines will be up shortly, to even out these things.

The article system will ultimately become a concise collection of pearls that lie abundant within the GS community. The link to GZine will be available from the main portal for the advantage of those who do not know how to navigate GS or are pressed for time. Consider this as a continuation of our tradition to serve you more and better.

this is actually a nice idea. people from around the world can share their experiences and we can create an “online” megazine. maybe i can interview some famous stars for the entertainment section
