For the past 3 years (maybe longer, I can only vouch for 3 years as thats how long I have beee a Guppy), If you did a Google on Gupshup, the #1 hit was always to our very own link.
Not anymore, over the last few days I have noticed that our Gupshup has been slowly getting demoted and today it is not even on the 1st page of Google results. I had to navigate to Page 2 to find it.
Is this a sign of the times ahead? I have seen a few posts from various people recently commenting on the poor quality of posts and the general view that Gupshup is going downhill beacuse all the regular (senior) guppies are no longer ‘actively’ posting.
Secondly, what does the listing of a website on a search engine have anything to do with the popularity of a website if what you're entering into the search engine is "Gupshup".
You'll get links to India's stardust something and many other desi websites.
Doesn't mean this place is any less popular on account of THAT evidence.
Mystery_Man... I suspect its more to do with how Gupshup/Gupistan was being visited and indexed as a top-level domain by all - now its a PakLinks channel (see URL).
