We are officially putting Crescent_'s idea of a GupShup Newspaper into effect. I am his assistant. 
We seem to have a handleful of people who are willing to contribute articles and stuff. Basically, what we’ll do is we will use this thread for people to tell us if they want to write an article or do a section and then once Crescent or me approves, you can go ahead and write your part and then email it or PM it to one of us by a certain date (we haven’t set any specific deadlines as of now).
There is no limit to the amount of participation we can get for this because in the end, we will put up all the articles on a site, designed by Crescent_ himself, as a virtual Newspaper!
Criteria for article topics:
- The topic MUST relate to GupShup
- The forum rules apply to the articles
- No plagiarism
- Make sure your topic is approved by Crescent_ (or me)
Here are some possible topics/ideas:
- Gossip Column (this must be written very carefully because you have to make sure that you do not insult/offend/embarass anyone. The best way to do this would be to ask the people you are writing for permission if it is okay for you to do so.)
- Jokes Section (jokes about guppies. Again, make sure you don’t hurt anyone’s feelings! =o)
- Political Cartoons (perhaps about the Mods/Admins.
You should ask the Mods/Admins you want to make a cartoon of for their permission before doing so. Ofcourse, none of this should be taken seriously.) - Interview of a Guppy (An actual interview where you go back and forth and kind of hold a conversation focusing on the guppy. Ask good questions, get interesting answers.)
- Poll (Maybe the Mods could put together a poll and then we can put the results in the Newspaper.)
- What’s Hot in the Forums (Someone could write about what the most popular topics on GupShup are recently.)
- Memoirs from an Old Guppy (We can get one or several of the ‘older’ guppies who have been on GupShup since back in the day to write memoirs telling us about how GupShup has changed, good + bad.)
If you’d like to participate (which we really would encourage you to do) please post in this thread the topic (be specific) of your article, and once Crescent_ or I approve, you can write it and send it to us as soon as possible. Also, please provide a photo with your article IF POSSIBLE (screenshots, for example get creative).
