I hardly post here anymore. But ill give you my 2 pesos here.
Dont blame it all on whatsapp, fb, smartphones. There are other factors here as well which have led to dwindling traffic over the years. And these are bad governance, lame policies, internal politics and ego.
This is coming from someone who has been around thia forum since 2001.

I wouldn't blame Facebook or Whatsapp for a decline here. I just don't see it as a replacement for what I do here, i.e. discussing different topics. I would still rather use an actual forum for that and on a desktop/laptop browser, where I don't find it such a pain to type.

I agree with Shak and TLK. The people that were active many years ago moved on with their life. I was crazy about Gupshup back in the days, now I barely get time to check my computer for random casual browsing. Only at night. Having said that, that brings me to the point TLK made. Smartphones have killed GS traffic a lot in my opinion also. Once I tried to use the GS forums through some Tapatalk app, but it was so bad. Uninstalled it. Out of 24 hours, I use computer for random browsing for like 1 hour and rest of the time is phone. Casual glance at what's happening. Twitter is very efficient when it comes to that.

I have installed Swiftkey keyboard on my phone and trust me, I can type paragraphs in seconds. It is faster and quicker than a physical keyboard. ;)

Swiftkey? I'll check it out. However, I prefer a computer to a smartphone when it comes to using forums (among web based things) in general.

intolerance has probably deserted GS...too much arguing...baHs baraaye baHs! imho!
