Re: Guppy scientists?
But there is no pain?
Just a relief of itches.
Re: Guppy scientists?
The itch is relieved by the high temperature which causes whatever is making you itch, to become numb ![]()
Re: Guppy scientists?
Is that the science?
Coooooooool.
I'm an arts guy.

Whattttttttttt ![]()
Re: Guppy scientists?
Non infectious or Allergic itches:
dry itch = dry hard cracked skin = top skin cell regeneration while cells surface is cold and dry
Warm water = top surface wetted and softened = top skin cells regeneration while cell surface is warm and wet = temporary relief, unless under water continuously such as in swimming for long duration or bathing in hot tub for long time

Re: Guppy scientists?
Regular itch man, type you get the cover of a Miles Davis CD out and use the edge to stratch with...
Re: Guppy scientists?
^ Ahan...
Re: Guppy scientists?
hot water (you mean warm????) makes your skin more dry which in turn makes it itchier.
The itch can disappear until the skin is wet, but once dry it's a different story.
People with eczema/ very dry skin are not advised to take long baths or shower everyday. Thats what my kids pediatrician told me whenever my kids got baby eczema.
Re: Guppy scientists?
I mean hot water, not warm. Final setting on the shower unit, white hot at times.
Re: Guppy scientists?
^ okay, so hot water can eventually make your skin disappear and not just the itch!
Re: Guppy scientists?
word?
Re: Guppy scientists?
two words for you, scratchy - golgi-body incapacitation.
Re: Guppy scientists?
howzaaaaaaaaaaat?
Re: Guppy scientists?
golgi body? one of cell organelles related to lipids? how is that linked?
anways i thought it was temporary relief that you get.
Re: Guppy scientists?
the hot water doesnt make the itch go away, u just dont feel it because ur sensory sells are bombarded by the heat so it sort of overrides the itching sensation
