I’m excluding myself from this otherwise obviously I’d win it every year and that would get boring.

This year’s vote goes to sambrilian who’s wonderful tribute to Was Akram (Pak fast bowler for all you clueless heathens) is one of the best pieces of writing I’ve read here for a long time.

While amateurs like mo_best have to rely on adding up numbers to come to a conclusion sambrilian just produces the goods. Ehsan has rightly made it an ‘Important’ sticky once more demonstrating the brilliance of mod selection policy here on GS.

mo was Gupshup ‘Paki’ of the year. He’s an opinionated windbag which is ok. Sometimes he’s right, sometimes he’s wrong (I know that because I’m right all the time )

there isn’t going to be a next time. Wasim retires after this World Cup. You’ll never know what you missed and it was on your own doorstep. Half of the UK Pak population colonised Wilmslow Rd after the semi finals last time, and you were too busy studying?
