Guppy by birth ?

So are you guppy by birth or just turned into a chatter box later in life ? Are you a guppy in real life too ?
I used to be very shy person and would not talk to anybody I have not known for long time. My first job was a marketing job so to be successful I had to be a good communicator . Therefore I read a couple of books on how to communicate effectively. One of them was by guru Dale Carnegie How to make friends and influence people.
