What are the membership fees for the other site that you are comparing us to?
Ah I see you have been talking to Saba as i have had this conversation with her also. So the total sum i pay for these websites is:
Zero. Zip. Nada. Zilch. None. No payment whatsoever.
Rather i donate money to one of the sites out of my own pocket. So do many members. We do it because of the community built by that one owner. Not very different from Azkar. He has turned his website into a very profitable venture. In the genre the website works in, it is known as the top of the line for its information and especially for its forum and community.
Out of the 3 forums i alluded to, i dont pay for any of their facilities. Instead i provide IT support at one. I do some building and programing at another. The third i basically act like a self-righteous ass to anybody who support the american war efforts. And they all love me for it on each site.
Now why would you be telling Saba that the site is a paid membership if you pay nothing?
Anyhow... there is a contribution you are making. Be it in terms of finances, or time spent on resources. It is only fair that your input is valued by them. We tend to give our Moderators the same type of respect in return for their contributions.
Now that is not true at all. I never said it was a paid site. It hasnt been one for 6 years now. However Saba made the assertion that since i make a donation i am paying for services and that is very different that gupshup. If you wish i could get an e-mail from the owner which explains it is not a paid site. Or better yet i could get you his e-mail address or would you prefer he contacted you?

There's no need for the email address. I don't think that I have the time to get into a drawn out evaluation and comparison of another three sites or whatever number it may be.
What I do know is that Azkar, Fraud and I have been around for quite a while here and we have been through a lot. Thanks to Allah we must have done something good/right to be able to survive for this period of time. And frankly I don't think that we have just survived. Our team has grown in leaps and bounds and so has our membership. I'm proud of both.
However, that does not necessarily suggest that we know everything there is to know. Far from it. I mentioned that we are in a constant state of evolution and I mean that.
I view the input that we receive as a means to improve. By the same token I take criticism very seriously and to heart.
So, when someone comes along and suggests that we are not "transparent" enough or that we are biased in one way or another, I take a deep breath, step back and take a look around. If I find truth in the matter, I get to the bottom of it, remind the team what we should be focused on ensure that I am around to monitor. This is what I have done and what I will be doing.
With respect to clarifications and explanations when threads are edited/moved/deleted.....there is a clear path to PM the moderator. If a satisfactory response is not received, you can contact Admin, either by private message or here in the feedback section. If you still don't get results....contact me directly. That's how much confidence I have in our team.
Now I'll address some things very quickly as I'm afraid I am hard pressed to give them credence:

That's a load of bs. You and I both know it. If this were true, we would have been shut down long ago. The next time a Moderator behaves in this fashion, I wanna know immediately. If it happens as often as you suggest, it should not be long before it occurs and you catch it. Let's wait for that opportunity and discuss it while it is fresh. I don't want to get into historical data where the possibility of memories being clouded can distort the truth.
Re: insulted Faisal
You know Faisal doesn't even recall that you were banned. Perhaps we are so busy banning folks that we can't keep track. (That's sarcasm in case you missed it.) We have been working with Faisal for years now and it will take some serious evidence for me to doubt his actions/decisions. Again, if you can present the evidence, I am willing to look at it. Please make sure it's not based on "feelings".
Re: call them an idiot and ban them
CM, I have yet to call someone an idiot for disagreeing with me, let alone ban them for it. And I will not accept such an accusation unless you can show me where it has occurred.
Re: 24 hour turn-around
If the site was funded and we had the resources to put out, we could probably offer something like that too. Unfortunately we don't have a situation where things are so critical that questions need to be addressed so urgently. If you want answers on policy, I can usually give them to you. You may not like them, but I can give them to you. ;)
