KARACHI, Pakistan—At least 20 bus passengers were shot dead in an attack late Friday that officials suspect was carried out by separatist insurgents in Pakistan’s conflict-torn south western Balochistan province, security officials said.
Pakistani forces have been fighting a separatist guerrilla movement in Balochistan since 2006, which is unrelated to the better known Islamist insurgency raging in the country in recent years.
Officials said that two buses were stopped in Mastung district–50 kilometers (31 miles) south of provincial capital Quetta–by at least 15 heavily armed militants. Some passengers were gunned down on the spot, officials said.
The remainder were kidnapped by the attackers, but security forces also arrived on the scene and a gunbattle ensued. Officials said five passengers have been recovered so far, while the fate and number of the rest wasn’t immediately clear.
The passengers were traveling from Balochistan’s Pishin district in the north of the province to the southern port city of Karachi in the adjoining Sindh province.
Most of the passengers were ethnic Pashtuns, said Sarfaraz Bugti, home minister of the Balochistan province.
“The attackers were wearing uniforms of security forces. We are chasing them,” said Mr. Bugti.

no no no, my post sounds bad in hindsight, i meant attack people who can fight back atleast, attack an armed forced they’ll be destroyed, but IM not saying attack anyone, i was just trying to say dont fight innocent civilization

Well they arent stuPid. It is like the insurgents used to target fuel trucks, hence giving combat expexperience.to female soldiers, unlike US tanks in Iraq.
The only key is how much do you attack before you are discredited like TTP. Malik siraj ajbar already wrote of inter fighting in terrorist groups in balochistan and attacks like these can further discredit them
