Islam is islam and has no bearing whatsoever to the place where it is practiced.
Contrary to the ‘popular’ media belief, Islam is not regional just as Allah himself.
South asians did not know anything about islam till they got exposed to “non-south asian islam”!
A dead person deserves prayers and good wishes and flowers/green leafy branch for respect or since leaves/flowers also pray for Allah according to islamic view. Beyond that its Shirk!
An ornate grave is for who? the dead person? or for people who 'enjoy or are pleased while looking at it?
Come’on be realistic. A million rupee maqbarah or a billion worth of flowers may not save a dead person from bad place to live heareafter if that person commited unforgivable sins… and vice versa.
If you call that wahabism then it must be that wahabism is not bad afterall.

Right. Agree. There are multiple things Muslims adopted to parallel those of Hindus. They took up different customs and deformed them to another identity. The sufies were elevated to a higher level and there the “Shirk” started by asking help from them or considering peole who would recommend to Allah.

Where did you move the half of the thread? I need information on Lahore 981’ & Deedawar’ allegations that Indiara Gandhi made a statement against Muslims…we have retaliated for thousand years of Muslim rule over India…hindustan Times dt 17 DEc 1971…There was no such statement.

what indira gandhi said was "we have buried the two nation theory in the bay of bengal". and then bhutto followed it up with this lovely message to the bengalis "hum yahan tum wahan".
the whole theory about indians hate muslims because of 1000 years of muslim rule is among a series of consolation fairytales some pakistanis have come up with to justify partition and the existance of their country. the most recent two hundred years were spent under the oppressive boot of christian europeans. no one seems to have any hatred for them in the subcontinent.

not to forget, in 1857, hindu and muslim sepoys alike revolted and reinstalled the muslim mughal ruler, bahadur shah zafar. if there was no hatred then, why would it develop over 200 years of non-muslim rule?

Deedawar and Lahore 981 are under impression or are taught in Pak madrisas that…Indira Gandhi said that Indians retaliated for 600/800 years of Muslim rule by defeating Pakistan and creating Bangladesh???
There is so such statement written on behalf of indira Gandhi in any national newspaper including Hindustan Times dt 16th or 17th Dec 1971.
Indira Gandhi never made such statement in Parliament.
Now let Lahor981 or Deedawar bring some valid proof, web link etc, least not escape.
What about other statements…we Indians are proud for that. Any objection???

First of all, stop this non-sense. I openly admit these statements have been given. Anyone having any doubt about the dates or newspapers, go contact the newspapers and the media and your elders.
