Gujarat - Update

It’s has been a good 3 years since the gujarat massacre. I wanna know have any hindu terrorists who burned almost 3k+ muslims, have been convicted/put behind bars? or anything.

Re: Gujarat - Update

All are under trail and the trail may continue for 20+ years. This is India.
Do you know anything of Zahira pendiulum scenario?

You may not like to enquire obout Godhra coldblooded murderurs..they are also under trail and the judges are totally confused by different enquiry commissions.

Re: Gujarat - Update

wot u expect from corrupt indian govt???

the main suspect ass " MODI" is still moving around freely,

and no one cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

AH how can we forget,

IT HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA!!!!

Re: Gujarat - Update

so basically ur saying that the government is doing NOTHING. that tells u how much the indian govt values the blood of its minority citizens. Ram forbid, if 3k hindus would have been burned by muslims…then we would have seen the govt come to action..

if the govt doesnt do anything..what about the non-terrorist hindus…dont they take out rallies etc or put pressure on their DEMOCRATICALLY elected govt to put these hindu savages behind bars?

Re: Gujarat - Update

Yes, Lussi, it is a judicial system failure. Riot victims very rare get justice.
If Hindus are indifferent to this failure…..in fact you can easily find thousands of web material written by Hindu media against the system, including against injustice carried out in favor of Gujarat victims. Zahira, a Muslim lady, the prime evidence in Bakeri case is left and right taking bribe from both the parties and changing her stand every second day.
Bakeri case was in fact got strength by the efforts of some Hindu experts.

And do you have same anguish against slowness in Godhra under trail case?

Your challenge…if 3+k Hindus are killed in your country? Do you expect that minorities can riot in your country, or they have any saying in the system?

Some (Muslim) terrorists captured Akshyadham temple in Gujarat and took away many innocent lives. Situation was kept totally under control.
What will happen if some minority section terrorists capture a mosque in Pakistan…..? Any idea?

Re: Gujarat - Update

How apt!

Re: Gujarat - Update

thats pretty dumb. pakistani government is as corrupted as any south asian government. just recently they released the ppl who gang raped the woman. nothing was done.. KFC was burnt down, i havent heard anyone being arrested.

Re: Gujarat - Update

what do you expect them to do? lengthy duration of the legal process should not come as a surprise, it is standard - especially in such a backed-up system like India’s…and with cases involving vague descriptions of suspects in a riot, it’s not that easy to just line them up, arrest them, and give them the death sentence. that is unrealistic.

within the last one year, the most prominent case has been ordered to be re-tried after the suspects were acquitted earlier, over 2,000 cases have been re-opened and are under investigation after being closed due to “untraceability” of suspects, and the National Human Rights Commission has praised the SC just a few months back on the increased determination and aggression in the investigations and prosecutions…so you never know, there could be good results in the near future.

there is no difference…you might see wrongful arrests just to calm down the masses - but that isn’t justice. you can see the same situation in the Godhra cases and same issues of “untraceability” of suspects. the legal system is a very clogged process in India regardless of religion.

the vast majority of rallies and protests against the Gujarat gov’t have been organized and run by Hindus…there’s only so much power that they have.

but before asking that question…ask yourself what the majority populations in Muslim countries, including Pakistan, would do (or have done) in cases of minority oppression…nothing at all.

Re: Gujarat - Update

Its almost impossible to get anyone convicted in this case. it was a riot, not an assasination or anything like that. It would be good if some of the big names that were involved in this get punishment atleast. Also the commision that investigated the train fire gave its report and there was no attack on the train by muslims.

Re: Gujarat - Update

yes, that is the main problem…the best the victims can do is provide general descriptions from memory, and this can barely help investigators to track down the culprits.

the only real target that would provide closure is punishment of Narendra Modi…but the essential accusation against him is “non-action”, so i don’t see this as a realistic outcome. If Modi had actually ordered the attacks, it would be a much different story and would be very easy to indict him.

there was no conspiracy to attack the train, but they still attacked it…the difference is that it was spontaneously or “in the heat of the moment”. to deny that there was a mob that attacked the train would contradict all the testimony and justification given by all the local muslim residents themselves…who claimed that they attacked only in retaliation over harassment by Kar Sevaks at a food stall and some alleged insult towards a muslim girl after refusal to pay for chai.

Re: Gujarat - Update

Oh ok. I didnt read the report of the commission, so dont know exactly what it said. But at one point i do remember reading something about a short circuit that caused the fire though, dont know if that was what the commision said or was something the commission investigated.

Re: Gujarat - Update

Yes, you will always find some design. It suits your ethic.
Did the mob surrouding the train help the victims?

How did fire took place…you can find many stories. The boggy was under complete fire in just 5-6 minutes. a point always ignored by ‘design makers’…could it be a result of short circuit or petrol agent?
