So is this a desi thing to take your kids on a guilt trip when they grow older? I know we see it in the western culture also, but I think we desis are experts in rubbing our kids the wrong way when they grow up.
I understand how we must appreciate and acknowledge the efforts and sacrifices of our parents. That is not only obligatory but also necessary. But, to have it rubbed in, to be reminded over and over again, doesn’t that just reduce the beauty of it all?
