Guests who invite themselves...

Re: Guests who invite themselves...

I dont know how to say it to my uncle. Its so wierd...can you please not drop by whenever you're too tired to cook??? I cant be rude because that will start an argument and I cant see them barge in again. My uncle does the same thing Croquet...they constantly knock until we open up! My mom put these really heavy curtains on our door so they cant peep inside and know we're home.

Its so true, if you entertain them or spend time with them they ask you tons of personal questions. Where is your mother? Father? Dad didnt go to work today? What are you doing home? What happened to you? (Ive got a virus and a red nose along with my voice didnt give them a hint) etc etc etc.

times like this i prefer virtual world atleast i can be mean and blunt. it is very difficult to be blunt face to face. i just hope that someday they pick up on it.

Re: Guests who invite themselves…

:hehe:… the best way we avoid when we dont want people to come around unannounced, it that when the bell rings, we peep to see who it is, then we all go to a room and keep mum, that way they think that nobody is home and go away…do this 2 times, so that next time they make sure that they dont come like that and since most such people are lazy, they would not want to waste time for unfruitful work…:hehe:…has worked most of the time…

Re: Guests who invite themselves...

Eyelashes, Im in the States...this is not normal here. We dnt go to peoples' homes without giving them at least a phone call! However, in Pak it seemed almost a tradition...in the evenings we often had unannounced guests drop by and ppl dont mind so much there.
