Nasir Kazmi... I like his choti behar main kahi gai ghazlen... One of favorite ghazal is:

**dil darhakane kaa sabab yaad aayaa
vo terii yaad thii ab yaad aayaa

aaj mushkil thaa sambhalanaa ai dost
tuu musiibat me.n ajab yaad aayaa

din guzaaraa thaa ba.Dii mushkil se
phir teraa vaadaa-e-shab yaad aayaa

teraa bhuulaa huaa paimaan-e-vafaa
mar rahe.nge agar ab yaad aayaa

phir ka_ii log nazar se guzare
phir ko_ii shahar-e-tarab yaad aayaa

haal-e-dil ham bhii sunaate lekin
jab vo ruKhsat hue tab yaad aayaa

baiTh kar saayaa-e-gul me.n 'Nasir'

I just hated poetry in beginning. never liked poems in text books. It was when I left my hometown and came to Karachi for professional education, I got time in initial days (because we had classes on 3 days only), I got time and started reading poetry from the digests (suspense digest) my cousin had. I started writing the ash'aar on back of my note book and then I found that I started liking reading poetry.

I remember buying first poetry book. We were then living in Mehmoodabad and I remember I completed the book ( Aankhen bheeg jati hai by Wasi Shah) in bus from Urdu bazar to Mehmoodabad ( an hour's journey) :D

I was expacting something like every famous poet said why they start writing poetry

LOL. What famous poet say about their start of writing poetry?

My answer was how I started reading poetry? Don’t remember, how I started writing poetry. May be it was a friend who asked me to contribute in college magazine and I wrote a ghazal and handed that to him. When that ghazal published in college magazine, they gave it title of Nazm

Maine apne ek dost ko di thi.. usne apni dost ko di and they exchanged some naughty messages on that. so I had to throw it away. waise bhi tab tak mujhe Wasi Shah ke saste rooman se chiR hogai thi :p

I found that Wasi Shah only portrays cheap romance.. thats why I started disliking him.
