I dont think it has anything to do with the marriage, if unfortunately the marriage is not working than maybe otherwise you still like the same poetry.
No I have not tried writing anything, I dont think I have that sort of command of the language.
if I can write at the age of 14 , you can try something too :D

aaj lagta dil dukha huwa hai aap ka. baad main baat karte hain 
jaate jaate uncle ke liye ek sawal.
There was a time that we had poets who wrote amazing milli naghme and naats. Why don’t we hear such poetry from new poets? Did we lost that compassion with our religion and country?

Na I dont agree why should poetry lead to depression, agreed a lot of it is sad but it is also deep and gives many meanings. Reading poetry and understanding gives you peace and makes you understand the intricacies of life. Poetry is of different types and certainly poets like Iqbal, Faiz and other nationalist poets doesnt make you feel depressed but bring pride and a sense of duty in you.
