Guerrilla Warfare Worries U.S. Military

God forbid that Western media flee Iraq.

**The U.S. military is worried that the dangers will force Western media to flee Iraq, and the world will rely more on Arab media outlets — like satellite TV channels Al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiya — for coverage. **

With videos of kidnapped civilians and leaflets threatening violence, one top U.S. military officer said insurgents were operating a brilliant campaign of fear that experts said was meant to drain international workers from Iraq and isolate the U.S. military and its allies. Guerrilla "masters of intimidation" are also successfully countering the U.S. military's own psychological campaign.

Some 700 foreign terrorists injured or killed by the Irai resistance in just two weeks - you bet that's a brilliant success!

Why do you always ignore how many iraqi terrorists have been killed or injured in the same time? Do you just tune those things out from your mind?

Gureilla warfare would worry the Iraqis even more then the US, since it would be ordinary iraqis caught in the middle.

Why run, they created this mess now they should clean it up, like texans say: once you start somtin be sure YOU finish it!....

As regards to the death toll, its a sad day for humanity!.. :(

americans left vietnam, russians left afghanistan after 10 years idiotory, indians were smart that they left shrilanka in one year, now it is again turn of americans, they have done a good job for iraqis that they removed saddam, and now they must forget about petrol and run, iraqis will kill each other, it is no more american agenda.

There can possibly be THOUSANDS of images of the 'terrorist' kicking ass of the American troops. Just for starters, how about the famous photo where the Iraqis in Fallujah were protesting against the Americans with the Americans pointing their guns at them, after the massacre there? Ignorant people like you concentrate and support your very wrong views by facts and images that arent representative of the whole picture

Calm down. Arabs will kiss the hands of anyone who has power. Thousands of arabs are greatful to america for saving them from the teorrorists seeking shelter in fallujah. Just read today's news.

Other ignorant people look at the actions of the relatively few numbers that are destabilizing Iraq to support their very wrong view that there is a popular uprising. The truth is that this image is more represesentative of the millions of (quiet and uninvolved) Iraqis who wish for a peaceful Iraq.

Like the one hundred thousand plus US soldiers occupying Iraq, who have killed more innocent Iraqi's in the last 13 months than any group in the country.

very wrong conceptionmr malik, the us army is not jungle army, not killing every one right and left. the fact is that the iraqis are happy that the saddam regime is over, and the present gurrilla war has nothing to do with the safegaurd of the nation, this gurrilla war is religious in culture.

The guerrilla war is started by al qaeda inspired terrorists who want a civil war in iraq. This way by killing as many iraqis as possible, they will be able to show that america has failed and iraqis are fighting a civil war.

Killing iraqis is a good way to get at america isn't it?

This is a blatant lie and you know it. Do you know how many shias were killed by Saddam? Or how many Kurds, or sunnis? Have some shame malik.

mr imbad, you want to say 'bravo america'!

seriously.. where do you get all this nonsense? direct from white house propaganda points?

There is no 'Al-Qayda' in Iraq.. there is no 'foreign element'.. is it soo hard to believe Iraqi's would fight occupiers be they of any nationality.. what is so difficult to fathom here.. ANY nation would object to an occupation of their land and homes and resources. why can't ordinary Iraqi's fight back without being called 'insurgents', 'terrorists' or 'rebels'?

PA, you really don't believe that there are foreign elements in Iraq fighting and causing trouble for the United States?
