There was a time, when ladies didn’t call their husbands with names. They used Munne / Guddu ke abba, etc.

Does that practice still prevail somewhere in the world?

Re: Guddu ke abba

:omg:

Bhabhi:** yeh, vo, your dad, your Bhaaijan etc
Bhai: your mom, your Bhabhijaan, mem saab, Begum saahiba etc

Re: Guddu ke abba

One of my Mother's friends from Kotli, Azad Kashmir refers to her husband as 'kaarr 'aala' meaning ghar wala in Urdu. I remember my mother once cracked a joke saying "O kaar aalai tey tussi ki? Baar waale?" They had a good laugh.
