Not started. Kids way of representing what they see around them.
I never did gudda guriya ki shadi and all :(. I grew up with boys around me, so if i were to play with my doll, it was on my own.
But, games like ghar-ghar and shadi and all, are not culture specific. Girls in the Western culture play those games too. They are a very good way to get girls socialized according to their gender roles. They see what mommy’s and daddy’s, friends mom dad, tv etc do and repeat that (psychological purpose: to learn how to handle those situations and learn to make their place in the society - obviously doesn’t apply to every single person. It is an explanation).
