So the 4 Britishers, Moazzam Beg and others, held unlawfully in the concentration camp of Gitmo have been released without being charged of ANY illegal activity by the police in UK. So 3 years of torture in captivity for no valid reason by those who are exporting freedom and democracy and human rights to the uncivilised world. Yeah right.

Afghanistan. They went to do charity work there, but were fingered by locals eager to ingratiate themselves with ther Americans. In both Afghanistan and now Iraq, there have been many reports of people using the Americans to settle personal scores by accusing their personal rivals of being terrorists, or simply people trying to gain profit through building trust with the Americans by accusing innocents of being terrorists.

Cause if they were apprehended in UK then they do have some form of law that would protect their rights. In case of a war zone and specially a war zone with no geneva conventions in sight they will be treated as enemy combatants or simply terrorists (since no law exists UN doesnt have a concise definition of terrorist) it's easy to apprehend them and forget about 'em. Thats why my question.

Basically they learnt after 3 years that these guys were innocent. Damn...and i though Americans were super smart. Seems their inbred gene pool has some flaws.

Actually, one of these guys, Moazzam Begg, was arrested in Pakistan. He had been involved with founding a school in a rural area in Afghanistan and installing water pumps. In December 2001, he had the misfortune to decide to move himself and his family to Pakistan around the time that it was believed Al Qaeda was relocating from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
Based on that, and circumstancial evidence (the name Moazzam Begg being alleged to be found on a single Al Qaeda document) , he was arrested by Pakistan, turned over to the USA, taken to Afghanistan, then flown to Guantanamo Bay and tortured.
