There have been several mod appointments at GS. And yes, it is special to achieve that status. But what has not been reported widely is the fact that this position was created for the winner of the highly COMPETITIVE GS Apprentice Tournament. Far be it for me to sing my praise. But the tournament was the the decathlon equivalent of Track and Field. And my nearest challenger wasn’t even in the same area code.
First, I would like to thank my competition - for being thoroughly outclassed by me. In any other tournament, each of them would have won handily. They were that good. But they ran into a brick wall. Not their fault.
For now, the position of CM is safe as I settle into my mod role. I have had intense consultations on how not to be a mod from a senior member who is the best in the business ( of how not to be a mod). I Look forward to have a fruitful year on the way to the top of the pyramid.
